Introduction to Ningbo Emulsion Pump: Working Principle of the Emulsion Pump
2024/11/12 35

Pumps are ubiquitous in our daily lives, yet many people may not be familiar with them. Today, let's follow the Ningbo Emulsion Pump manufacturer to learn about the working principle of the emulsion pump and enrich our knowledge.

The working principle of the emulsion pump, as introduced by Ningbo Emulsion Pump, is similar to that of a car engine. Mainly, it works as follows:

The pump is driven by a three-phase AC horizontal four-pole explosion-proof asynchronous motor, which drives the crankshaft to rotate through a reduction gearbox. The crankshaft, in turn, drives the plunger to reciprocate through a crank-connecting rod mechanism. This causes the working fluid to be sucked in and discharged through the suction and discharge valves, converting electrical energy into hydraulic energy and outputting high-pressure fluid for the operation of the hydraulic support. The high-pressure discharge port of the pump is equipped with an adjustable high-pressure safety automatic self-closing valve, ensuring the reliability of the hydraulic system.

The emulsion pump, also known as a pipeline emulsifier, shares the same basic principle as a general emulsifier. It utilizes the high-frequency hydraulic shear and high linear velocity generated by the high-speed rotation of the rotor to uniformly distribute materials in the narrow space between the rotor and the stator under the combined effects of centrifugal extrusion, friction, and collision. By adding an appropriate emulsifier, two originally immiscible substances can be instantly and uniformly emulsified to obtain a stable product.

The pump head of the emulsion pump mainly consists of a stainless steel rotor and stator, which are made of stainless steel for wear resistance and rust prevention. This allows for better subdivision of some oxidizing liquids without damaging the pump body.

The emulsion pump can be used for continuous emulsification or dispersion of various liquids, while also serving as a short-distance transport for low-viscosity liquids. It can also achieve mixing of powders and liquids, making it widely used in fields such as daily chemicals, food, medicine, chemicals, coatings, and more.

That's the simple working principle of the emulsion pump, as introduced by Ningbo Emulsion Pump. Do you understand now?
